Background

A theatre designer is a small part of an orchestra of creative people responsible for staging a theatre production. It is often very necessary for the director to tame the wild fantasies of the designer’s mind so as to fit in with the production. It is thus natural that every now and then the designer has a desire to let go and create unrestricted fantasies and images.

A theatre design exhibition on the other hand can say only half a truth – lovely sketches and renderings don’t mean a thing. Only when costumes appear on stage, worn by actors, do they become functional and alive.

Thus the reasons for presenting these brief visual images, enacted by the singers, dancers and actors that suited my pictures best. I am also happy to have an opportunity to make my contribution to such a worthy cause.
